My name is Jacob Straub. I am a I.T. professional with nearly two decade’s experiences in supporting small-medium sized business and end-user system and network environments. I am also a graduate of the University of Alaska Anchorage’s (UAA) Bachelor of Arts linguistics, rhetoric, writing, and literacies program. I hold an additional Associates degree in Applied Science – Computer Systems Technology from UAA’s Matanuska-Susitna campus.

This site serves to host my resume and be a repository for any notable side projects – both can be explored from the menu in the top right. The most recent passion project is ‘Alaska Rustic Recipes’ – I enjoy older culinary techniques and am interested in the history, logistics, and cultural aspects of food in Alaska. If you’re a fan of food, history, and a bit of culture discussion, I hope to have rustic-style Alaskan recipes and blog entries there.

I can be reached at danestraub@gmail.com should you wish to contact me.
